Cologne Fairground

Cologne Fair and Exhibition Area, which is the real name Koelnmesse, is one of the biggest fair organizers of the country and its exhibition area is 284.000 m2 area. The Cologne Fair Area was established in 1922, with about 75 fairs and 2,000 conferences held annually. In 2005, it was moved to a new building built on the side. In Kölnmesse about 500 people work in Cologne and 100 people work in the world. Kölnmesse, the world’s fifth largest fairground, hosts about 44,000 exhibitors and 2.5 million visitors each year. There is a metro or taxi service to the city center from the fair area. The main fairs in Cologne Fair Area are as follows;  Anuga, Anuga FoodTec, Art Cologne, Dmexco, Imm Cologne, Intermot, Photokina.
